Sarah is the Executive Director of our Brushy Creek Community, with a Masters in Social Work, specializing in Gerontology from Baylor University. Sarah began her journey with Sundance as an intern from the Diana R. Garland School of Social Work at Baylor University and has quickly worked her way up to become a leader for our community. As an undergraduate, she studied Social Work after following her passion and inherent love for the elderly population.
Sarah was fortunate enough to have relationships with three of her four great grandparents, all living to be over the age of 90. Her relationships with each of them fostered her passion for the elderly. She watched her loved ones go through different spectrums of long-term care and has seen first-hand the effects of caregiver burnout on her family. This experience led Sarah to focus her graduate school studies on Community Practice, allowing her to further develop her leadership skills to impact those living with dementia, their families and their caregivers.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys reading and traveling! Any chance she gets, she plans quick trips home to New Jersey and Dallas to see close friends and family.
